Cedar Point and seeing LeBron James

Cedar Point was so fun! When Chris was in town we went to Cedar Point which is a huge amusement park in Ohio. It was only about 2.5 hours away so we woke up really early to go. Cedar Point has 17 roller coasters (more than any in the US), and has had the fastest and tallest ones until Japan/China made a taller one recently.


So the first ride we run to is the Top Thrill Dragster which is the tallest and fastest in the park. It goes from 0-120 mph in 4 seconds and the whole ride you see is over in 17 seconds.
We waited like 2 hours to ride it. We FINALLY made it to the front, it was so hot and sticky already and we got on the ride and.... technical difficulties and the thing wouldn't work. We sat around for a while and eventually left b/c they said it might take a while. So frustrating it took up the whole morning for nothing. I've ridden it before but I wanted Chris to finally.
Oh, and so we get off the ride we didn't ride yet, and I felt so sick. It was so dang hot and the noise was getting to me so I grabbed Chris bc I was going to pass out. Yay the day just began

I didn't go on some rides right after, but later on as our last ride 10 hours later we went on my favorite ride the Millennium Force. Dang, the time we got to the front it was dark and since this ride goes over 90 mph we got so many bugs in the face and hands it wasn't funny.

Going to some of the wooden rides. This one is called Mean Streak and we got on, put our arms in the air down the first hill and it shook you soooo bad. We had to hold our heads because it was that bad. Man that ride is old and so rough.

Here are some sideways pictures of when we saw Lebron. During my second round of sitting out, because again I felt ill, a girl starts screaming "LeBron is here". Chris and I went over there and there was the man himself, eating with a huge crowd around.

Yacht Club Adventures

Last weekend was so much fun!!! Chris came into town really late Friday night for some fun with my family, bridal shower, temple, and Cedar Point! I couldn't wait to see him and show him Michigan!
In the morning, we went to the Yacht Club where we had a bridal shower from my Aunt. It was so great! Admire the floral arrangements, I did them by the way :)

Yacht Club Adventures Part 2

Some of my favorite people were there. It was so fun for people to come and I didn't have a picture of Chris' parents on my camera but I loved having them there and meeting everyone too.

Chris is coming to town!

I'm so excited because I got to Michigan Monday and Chris gets to come into town within the next half hour. It's been a busy week getting things together for this weekend but I'm so excited for tomorrow and the bridal shower and seeing everyone and Chris and his parents.
I just put together floral arrangements for the shower, made a hairpiece for me to wear, blew up some pictures of us, mailed out 80% of invitations and designed inserts for the rest, ran errands, and played games with my siblings today.
Tomorrow is going to be fun!!! I'll take a lot of pics of course:)

Engagement Pictures!!!

Wow, we got our pictures done by Ryan Pearson and I am just so impressed with his work and how on top of everything he is. We took our pictures and got them back a few days ago and its so fun to pick our favorites and find which ones we should use!
I helped design our invites which was AWESOME!! Ryan will show us them today and I'm so excited.

Church Talk- Holy Spirit

Today I gave a church talk in my ward. The talk was about how the gospel has blessed my life and since I had limited time, I talked about the Holy Ghost and how that aspect of the gospel has blessed my life in so many ways.

Four areas I hit on were:
1) Recognizing the Holy Ghost and how we can do that (D&C 9)
2) Standing in Holy Places
3) Following the inspiration/ revelation
4) Expressing gratitude

All of these are so important as we have the gift of the Holy Ghost to be with us after we are baptized. We need to remain in areas where we can feel his spirit and when receiving revelation, we need to follow it. Expressing gratitude to God (whether prayer, writing the experiences down, or recognizing in some way) God blesses us more with further blessings and opportunities to feel the spirit.

Breaking the record for the World's Largest Water Balloon Fight

Tell me this doesn't look fun. It was SO COOL!


Yesterday we went to BYU to be a part of the thousands of people breaking the World Record for the largest water fight with 120,000 water balloons. I was so excited! Chris and I got there when the waivers were all gone so we waited around for a little while then got onto the field.
All the tv cameras preped, Cosmo was there in his finest, everyone had either yellow, orange, pink, blue, or green on to determine teams. They ran out of shirts but Chris got me a yellow one, we ran to a huge tent and grabbed a grocery sack each which was filled with about 20-30 water balloons and then we waited for the countdown.

Here we are nice and dry before the event. We are so glad to wear tennis shoes to protect our feet and run really good.

Wow, all wet from the fight. They counted down and all 4,000 of us threw them. It looked crazy we were getting wet from every direction, actually I'm mostly wet from Chris hahah, but it was so fun.
Apparently on tv it said it took three days to fill up all of the water balloons and 6 minutes to go through all of them. Since Chris and I were on the side it was great because we were by the tent to grab more of them.

After the fight was over we waited in line where they had huge sandwiches, water, and BYU ice cream. Was this a good decision to go to today? Heck yes. We beat the crowd leaving and drove to the duck pond where we ate our food.

Babies!!! Look at them aren't they cute?! I got so close because the mother duckie was behind the tree and didn't see me approach. Wow what a fun day
