Bridesmaid dresses

So there are still some things I've wanted to blog about about our wedding. I think by the time it was finally done we were exhausted from the big day and excited to move forward. I wanted to show some pics of my bridesmaids and cute little 'flower' girls and guy for our wedding.

I knew I wanted something classical and so my mom and I found these cute gray pencil skirts at Banana Rep. The tops we found at H&M which I loved and they were close to my blue wedding color so I decided to use it.

I gave my bridesmaids pearl necklaces which they wore and looked so cute.

My mom and Mrs. Curtis made these adorable little dresses for our nieces. They looked so cute in their antique looking style.

Crazy Family Window Stickers

I see family window stickers on cars everywhere. There are some that have little stick figure family members, but then others are very interesting. I don't know why people put up sandals or soccerballs to represent their family, but here are a few good ones I found that people have put up on their car windows:

Six Months Married

Wow 6 months! Time has already gone by so fast. I love being married to the man of my dreams and we've been so happy. Last night his sister Whitnie asked us questions about marriage for some class she is in. One of the questions was "do you think marriage was what you thought it would be?" We think it is even better! Its so much fun having someone always there to share the happy, sad, and trying moments. We have grown so much closer and so much better as we bring each other up and set goals for the future.
She asked us what one important quality we need to have and ours was a many part answer but we said commitment and how the other person feels about their spouse and the Lord (which pretty much everything else falls under that). Another question was about the traits that you loved, or had to have in your spouse. Commitment, goals, happy attitude, non-selfish, faithful in gospel, keep commandments, hard worker, family oriented, good management with money etc. were a few off the top of our heads.
Even though its been only six months, it was so interesting thinking back and answering the questions. I love chris soooo much and I know this marriage will last forever.

The prophet's favorite color is yellow

One of the Seventy of our church gave a talk last Sunday. It was so good and inspiring. In the talk he said that the prophets favorite color is yellow. Yellow is the color of happiness, the sun, flowers, light etc. the prophet President Monson is so happy and makes such a difference in the world. He makes an impact to everyone he comes in contact with. I hope I can do the same and always have a happy and positive attitude like the prophet and make a positive impact with those I speak to.

Pictures of me growing up

Me and my baby bottle in our Indiana house. Something to know about me, I didn't use a pacifier but sucked my thumb till 9 years old.

Emma and I when the power in the East Coast went out and we didn't have power for about a week. No power in the grocery stores, no gas stations open, no lights or power in downtown Detroit, NOTHING!

We lived right behind this golf course in Bloomfield Hills called Oakland Hills Country Club where the Princes came, the Queen, and other famous people and movie stars for the PGA tournament.

Me on my Belle/ Beauty and the Beast bike that I loved! If you look closely I have my stuff animal 'Hush Puppy' in the water bottle holder.

In Indiana again, I was just thinking we had a golf course in our back yard as well.

Going to the apple orchards to pick apples. In the summers we would go and pick strawberries and peaches for jams and pies.

In college, Sophomore year with Hans for her bday.

Cranbrook Swim Club in Michigan. We would play tennis and be on the swim teams in the summer. Here are some of us and our cousins to have some fun.

Infront of the Detroit temple during a summertime with my sisters.

Visiting California, I loved this dress my mom had made me. It had a bunch of animals on it I believe.

My Great-Grandmother Elise and I. I was named after her and I remember she ALWAYS loved her name and I do as well. We would visit her every Sunday which taught me so much.

My friend Lexie and I have been friends since we've been born. She was a bridesmaid for me for our wedding! I love this pic because I look like when I laugh right now.

I love animals. I remember we went on llamas and camels and they spit on me so I didn't like that.

I took some horse riding lessons. I don't know why, but I wanted to stick out my arms hahah.

My sister Emma and I had bunk beds and we had the best times. We would have sleepovers on one of the beds, tug of war from the bottom and top of the bed, and codes. So much fun.

Me in 2nd or 3rd grade for school pictures.

Me as a senior SOOO happy to graduate.

And me all dressed up for Prom when I was a Junior. .

"Buggy" each other with love

So my BYU roommate introduced me to the word "bug" to describe something annoying. If someone we knew was being a combo of dumb, annoying, rude, a jesabel, and arrogant... The word "bug" spoke for itself. Chris and I tease about it and its an inside joke so for Valentines Day, I found this bug and filled it with goodies. We now hide it to "bug" each other as a little reminder of our love.
Here's the bug in Chris' shoe

Ha, in Chris' jacket.

Chris hid it in my closet handing on the hangers.

And I hidout here in his side table by his bed and took this picture for him to find it.

We've his it a ton other times, today I found it under my pillow. Hmm where should I hide it next

Jazz game vs. Celtics

I got chris and I tickets all the way before Christmas for his bday. We finally got to go!

Their team is totally different now without the coach, Williams, and theo be guys. They played well tonight but didn't win, it was close. Either way it was fun with my hubby getting me from work and going up to see the game
