32 Weeks Pregnancy Chalkboard

Woo Woo! 32 weeks, they are just flying now. Still hot as ever and he is growing stronger in there (I know from his strong kicks).  I started feeling his hiccups the last two weeks and sleeping has been harder as well because I'll wake up in the middle of the night and can't fall back asleep.  I'm laying down a lot more and trying to get everything ready! So exciting.

Inches: 14 inches larger around belly
How I've used my time: Silhouetting, time with my sister in town, crafting
Cravings: Eh, nothing at the moment.
Other facts: Dang he is strong, he kicks me in my right rib and it hurts at times. He is extremely active but I rather feel him move all of the time than worry.

10 Cutest DIY Baby Boy Projects

Whether it be for a boy baby shower gift or DIY project for your newborn boy, here are my top 10 cute DIY baby boy projects that I want to work on.  All of them are so cute and clever and most of the connecting links will send you to the DIY instructions.

1) DIY Baby Bow Tie

No Sew Bow Ties are so easy to make and if you are bad or scared of your sewing machine, well, don't worry about that when you make these.

Here is another bow tie option I found online.  You can add a snap on a onesie and the back of the ties to make these adorable bow ties stay on your baby's outfit.  Love that idea.
Found online but didn't have a blog/website associated with it.

2) DIY Football blanket

I think these football blankets are so cute! I love how the front is brown minky shaped football and the back you can add your favorite football team fabric!  Football season is around the corner and this would be quick and easy to make and a great idea as a floor mat for your baby boy as well.

3) DIY Onesies

This by far is the cutest DIY onesie out there! Love the fabric they chose and the instructions walk you step by step how to get the right shape of onesie and put on the edge stuff.  So cute and an excellent idea when you have left over fabric.

Another adorable onesie idea is the onesie cardigan.  If you have basic onesies lying around that you want to add some spunk or color, this is super easy to cut your onesie and add the edge (can't remember the name) and the buttons.

4) DIY Baby Wall art

Do you have a cute theme for your baby boy's nursery?  Cars, planes, nautical, cowboy, sports.. whatever it might be, I love these cute ideas that you can incorporate with your baby's bedroom theme.

Using the first letter of your baby's name, you can add cars (like this picture below) or sports balls, planes, or whatever you would like.
Found online but didn't have a blog/website associated with it.

I see these everywhere in nurseries. Find an alphabet online (or type it into Word) and change the color of your baby's initial and put his name at the bottom.  Boom, that simple!

5) Baby Stat sheet

Stat sheets are easy to make and you can make them in a variety of ways.  Using different fonts and sizing you can create a stats wall art with your baby's weight, length, date, name, time, and place.

6) DIY Baby Shoes

I love these cute little moccasins and the tutorial (listed below the picture) makes them so much easier than I expected.  There are so many cute leather fabrics to use and binding to make them stand out.

7) DIY Owl Baby Hat

Thought this hat was so adorable! I love the cute owl theme and this was my favorite hat.  Can't knit? Use the hat as inspiration and instead use a material like felt.

8) Floor playmat

There are so many cute playmats these days, I love the cute owl ones I see online along with other cute animals you can make.

9) DIY Pee Pee Teepee

Pee Pee Teepees prevent you from getting wet when changing your boy's diaper.  I never realized how easy they were to make! You don't need a lot of fabric and can quickly whip these out and keep them in a variety of places like your diaper bag, changing table, different areas of the house where you change your baby.

10) DIY Monthly Onesie

These cute onesies can help you create cute pictures of your baby boy at every month during his first year.  I never knew how easy they were to make!

Ruffle Owl Mat for Tummy Time

I got this idea on Pinterest a few months ago and wanted to make my own! I found some cute fabric from Hobby Lobby and I loved how it turned out!

I can tell my niece loves it as well!  I used gray ruffle fabric around the edges and wings, a yellow and gray pattern in the middle and minky on the back and head of the owl.

Here it is!

30 Weeks Pregnancy Chalkboard

10 more weeks to go!  It's been fun getting the rest of the nursery together, we are close to a name so hopefully that will be decided very soon.  All I know is that I'm super hot all of the time and tired.  I had my first two intense hot flashes (oh my gosh no fun) and still am active and getting around, but definitely in a slower fashion.  I spend a lot of time at the pool or in the shower to cool off (it's way hot here which also doesn't help).  But again... 10 more weeks! I can't wait to meet him.

Inches: 14 inches larger around belly (ahh, I wonder how much bigger I will get)
How I've used my time: Silhouetting, time with my sister in town, crafting
Cravings: Eh, nothing at the moment. Snowies are delicious though :)
Other facts: It is so hot all of the time. My new best friend is a squirt bottle which I bring with me. My feet are getting more hot and puffy and I get tired easily.

Fitness clothes during pregnancy

As my belly and baby keep getting bigger and bigger, I've found that working out in clothes that are too tight or don't fit correctly make me uncomfortable within minutes.  At first I wanted my pre-pregnancy workout clothes to still fit, but then my baby belly would start showing from my shirts that were becoming shorter and shorter and my yoga pants that weren't covering my growing body.

Anyway, I hated working out in that clothing and looked at Fit Maternity for some well fitted and trendy pregnancy workout clothes to help me not only feel comfortable during my workouts, but feel covered and appropriate as well.

Fit Maternity has comfortable fitness wear from:
yoga wear, maternity workout pants and capris, swimsuits, maternity workout tanks, girdles and panties, shirts and tops that also can be worn post-maternity and for nursing.... and more

I chose this Rouched V-Neck Maternity Tee from Ocean Lily.  I loved it, first of all it is SUPER soft and has a four way stretch bamboo fabric that wasn't restricting so I could move all about (especially with my awesome prenatal yoga).  The cut is long (which I don't need because I'm short) but I loved it because as I'm doing yoga or stretching I know that I will be fully covered and not accidentally showing my belly or bottom. The V-neck is not too high or low so I know I'm not showing anything off there as well.

Fit Maternity also has amazing maternity pants and capris which fit amazing (and I for real wear around everywhere.... like people think I probably don't change haha).  I love these 3 in 1 waist capris which you could comfortably fold under your belly, or bring onto your belly depending which one makes you comfortable.  The reason I don't wear my old capris working out is that the panel was WAY too tight and restricting no matter if I put it above or below my stomach. I love how these capris fit to my body, but will grow with me as my belly continues to pop.

Ahh, "stretchy pants" as Nacho Libre would say. These capris are made from supplex which is shrink and fade resistant, flat seams, and is super soft and can dry FAST.

And lastly check out their maternity workout tanks! From razer back to nursing bra tanks they have you... and me... covered!
