Baby shower drink ideas

Putting on a baby shower soon? Here are some clever and cute ideas how how to serve drinks.

I absolutely love mason jars, I love how this baby shower tied a bow around the jars and used pink for the straws and sign.  From: http://www.trendy-baby-shower-ideas.com/images/pink4.jpg

Here is another cute idea, you can wrap a cloth around the drinks and put a baby diaper safety pin to hold it in place.  I like how they used a pink drink for their girl baby shower.  This would be yummy with some Jones Soda. From: http://www.donnahay.com.au/styles/60-baby-shower-drinks/

Here is the same kind of idea with a cloth and baby pin.  It doesn't need to be a blue or pink drink, if you are using different colors in the baby shower, the drinks can be a great way to bring that color into the shower. From:  http://littlelovely.typepad.com/littlelovely/2010/06/little-party-rustic-baby-shower.html

This baby shower used gray and yellow.  The drink was a great way to bring in that color.  I love the gray and white straws, what cool glass containers they used.  These could definitely be thrown in the dishwasher to use again for another party.  From:  http://blog.peartreegreetings.com/2012/05/baby-shower/
Another cute drink idea for a baby shower was using milk.  I loved these cute milk glasses filled with milk with a cute straw and bow.  They used a palet of gray, white, and red.  Really really cute. From:

Another party using milk.  Can you tell these striped straws are quite popular? From:

I love the pitchers they used in this baby shower.  Using a few (whether they match or not) can look so cute and give a variety of options. From:

Back to mason jars, I love the bow ties around the jars and how the jars are placed onto a cake stand.

If you want to decorate your mason jars more, you can buy different lids to put straws in.  Makes it really cute and something I would for sure use over and over again. From: http://blog.hwtm.com/2009/02/sipping-in-style-clever-barware/

Here is a taller mason jar with a cute lid.  On this jar they glued a cute mustache sign to go along with their boy baby shower theme.

Ha, I wanted to include this drink idea too, punching a hole in the top of a baby bottle for guests to drink milk out of.  You probably wouldn't be able to use the top part again, but interesting idea.

Petal n Pearl Boutique

Shabby chic headbands are perfect for so many events whether it is a holiday, new born or yearly pictures, birthdays, or going outside to play with mom for your beautiful baby girl.  I love the headbands from Petal n Pearl Boutique which are perfect for these occasions and every day wear.

There is so much detail in these baby headbands.  I love the pearls, lace, jewels, flowers included in these headbands.  The best is how affordable these headbands are, you can find the headband below under $16! The headbands start under $8.

Petal n Pearl has some pretty amazing baby headbands for the holidays.  I love this red and green which is perfect for Christmas, what a beautiful chic headband, I love the silver broach in the middle to give some sparkle.  Here are some other of their holiday headbands.

Headbands aren't their only specialty.  They have some amazing barefoot sandals like you see below.  So cute for your baby girls feet, I love their different styles and textures.

Another amazing product are their garters.  How cute are these anitque floral garters?!  They have so many garters to choose from and you can make sure you get the right size by giving them your actual thigh measurement at checkout.   They also stretch to give you a comfortable fit.

What are your wedding colors?  Did you know Petal n Pearl allows you to choose your design and colors so you can customize your garters to be perfect for your big day!

They can also use similar colors and styles if you want additional headbands or pieces for you or your flowergirls. Love that idea!   This teal garter below is my favorite! Look how beautiful and lacey they are.

Sophisticated boy nursery

Love this little nursery I found on littlegreennotebook.blogspot.com. What a cute nursery and especially cute crib.  With my style I love ornate and over the top cribs and bedding, but I love this Sparrow Crib and it's basic and clean lines and bluish gray color.  Centering the crib between the two windows gives the wall a focal point with these beautiful pictures.

This Madeline Weinrib rug really gives great texture.  If you don't have a lot of pattern throughout the room but somehow want to bring it in, a patterned rug does the trick.  I like how they chose a large pattern to put on the ground.  Excellent decor as well, there definitely is a travel theme going from the map, suitcase like dresser, and cute airplane which I know this baby will love! I wish it was my size to play around in.

Usually in a room I will choose either gold or silver accents to contribute throughout a room.  In my house, you will see a lot of silver and I love seeing accents of gold which I need to use more.  This nursery uses lighter fabrics against the dark brown flooring and the pops of gold help give some shine and color.

4 tips to decorate your perfect nursery

I've been thinking about some steps to decorate your dream nursery and today I stumbled on this awesome graphic I found from Mural Max Interiors.  I love this image and the steps that you can take to decorate:

1) Pick your theme
Think about what theme you want in the baby nursery.  There are so many cute ideas from princess nurseries, jungle, sports, ballerina, nautical and more.  If you want to stay away from those kinds of themes, maybe you can think of a theme color you want to see in the room, or maybe something inspirational whether it be a cute pillow, pattern, or toy.
Also think of how you want your nursery to look.  Do you want to see something more modern, or maybe chic and classy, or do you want to have something traditional or gender neutral to use for all of your children to come? It's up to you, decide which direction and go to step 2.
(If you don't have your nursery furniture picked out, this would be the time to choose)

2) Pick your crib bedding
Next, you'll want to pick the crib bedding for your little one. Keep in mind the 'theme' you chose for step 2, it doesn't mean you necessarily need to match the exact color or if you chose a theme like sports, you don't need to have the bed sheets, bumpers, pillows etc have sports all over.

3) Pick your colors
Especially after you find your cute sheets, you will be able to develop more sense of the direction you want to go with designing your nursery.  I would pull the main colors from the bedding (since you picked that out and loved it) and create at least 2-4 colors you should carry throughout the room.

4) Have fun with accessories
With the theme, bedding, colors in mind, find some cute accessories to put on the walls.  You can find cute pictures, rugs, curtains, and more!
Thanks Max Mural Interiors for your inspiration.

Pottery Barn Jungle Nursery

I just love Pottery Barn. So many great designs and it is just my style! I came across this Levi Nursery with white and brown and chevron stripes in a teal blue. Such a cute nursery!

Do you see the cute zebras on the sheets? Perfect to add a small detail for a jungle themed room and not go totally overboard.  The picture above has this bedding set with a white crib and the one below has a brown crib.  It's whatever you prefer for your cute jungle themed room.

Affordable Crib Bedding at Oopsie Daisy

Looking for crib bedding with high quality and discount prices? You can find popular bedding brands for an affordable price at the Oopsie Daisy store in Utah. I love their brand name bedding, especially Caden Lane and Cocalo, and the prices can be up to a $100 savings from what I find at other stores.  That's a steal!
Here is the Caden Lane Boutique Bedding Asher.  Right now I'm in love with using chevron in baby nurseries and this blue, yellow, and grey pattern is perfect!

I love how elegant this pink and cream nursery is! This Cocalo Daniella Bedding comes with 8 pieces to fill your nursery and make it match.  It comes with a quilt, sheet, dust ruffle, diaper stacker, window valance, and 3-piece fabric wall hanging.  This set is perfect to create a new room for your baby girl and makes it nice and easy.

This nursery is definitely my style.  I love the white walls and bookshelves and wainscoting, and the blue that stands out but is nicely distributed throughout the room.  This baby boy bedding would look amazing in a nautical themed room. (This is the Cocalo Harper Bedding at Oopsie Daisy).

Check out this sports nursery! Sports nurseries are perfect for your all-star baby boy and there are so many cool ways you can incorporate a sports theme throughout the room.  You can find sports bedding, mobiles, hamper, pillows, diaper stacker, rug, wall art, lamps, curtains, and wall paper.  Choose your favorite sports nursery items and implement them in the room.

If you love chic and vintage, the Caden Londyn Crib Bedding is a perfect bedding for your baby girl.  I love all of the detail from the different patterns of bumpers, mattress cover, and skirt which all come in this bundle.
If you look close you can see the pink zebra print! I love it.
I love the three main colors that were used in this room: orange, blue, and yellow. The colors for this Cocalo Surie bedding look amazing! The large and small patterns are well distributed and I like how they are used in the crib bedding.

I love brand name products but don't always love the prices that are on the box, I'm glad that Oopsie Daisy's bedding has lower prices for the exact products you are looking for.
