Pictures of me growing up

Me and my baby bottle in our Indiana house. Something to know about me, I didn't use a pacifier but sucked my thumb till 9 years old.

Emma and I when the power in the East Coast went out and we didn't have power for about a week. No power in the grocery stores, no gas stations open, no lights or power in downtown Detroit, NOTHING!

We lived right behind this golf course in Bloomfield Hills called Oakland Hills Country Club where the Princes came, the Queen, and other famous people and movie stars for the PGA tournament.

Me on my Belle/ Beauty and the Beast bike that I loved! If you look closely I have my stuff animal 'Hush Puppy' in the water bottle holder.

In Indiana again, I was just thinking we had a golf course in our back yard as well.

Going to the apple orchards to pick apples. In the summers we would go and pick strawberries and peaches for jams and pies.

In college, Sophomore year with Hans for her bday.

Cranbrook Swim Club in Michigan. We would play tennis and be on the swim teams in the summer. Here are some of us and our cousins to have some fun.

Visiting California, I loved this dress my mom had made me. It had a bunch of animals on it I believe.

My Great-Grandmother Elise and I. I was named after her and I remember she ALWAYS loved her name and I do as well. We would visit her every Sunday which taught me so much.

My friend Lexie and I have been friends since we've been born. She was a bridesmaid for me for our wedding! I love this pic because I look like when I laugh right now.

I love animals. I remember we went on llamas and camels and they spit on me so I didn't like that.

I took some horse riding lessons. I don't know why, but I wanted to stick out my arms hahah.

My sister Emma and I had bunk beds and we had the best times. We would have sleepovers on one of the beds, tug of war from the bottom and top of the bed, and codes. So much fun.

"Buggy" each other with love

So my BYU roommate introduced me to the word "bug" to describe something annoying. If someone we knew was being a combo of dumb, annoying, rude, a jesabel, and arrogant... The word "bug" spoke for itself. Chris and I tease about it and its an inside joke so for Valentines Day, I found this bug and filled it with goodies. We now hide it to "bug" each other as a little reminder of our love.

Jazz game vs. Celtics

I got chris and I tickets all the way before Christmas for his bday. We finally got to go!

Their team is totally different now without the coach, Williams, and theo be guys. They played well tonight but didn't win, it was close. Either way it was fun with my hubby getting me from work and going up to see the game

FINALLY, instructions for the magnetic board frame

Here are the pictures from the magnetic board I made. Chris gave me the board from Robert's Craft for Christmas and I was so excited to put it together. I picked out the colors tan and blues to go with the rest of our apartment. I found the paper at Hobby Lobby and think I covered the wooden frame with 10 sheets of paper.

I first decided what order I wanted the paper to be in and the width that I wanted it. I never did any strip the same size, but you can always do that or different shapes. You can also paint the frames or put a wooden finish or do watever as well.

You can put the paper on many ways, but I would make the paper the width I wanted it to, then lay down the paper in the right location and form it to the frame then cut it in the right spots.

Here you can see how I'm folding it in the right spot and about to use the modge podge on it.


You can see the weird triangle shape it makes. I didn't make rectangles, this is how it turned out for most strips when I laid them down. I then put the Modge on which acts like a glue and gloss coating. I did not put the coat on top because I was goingn to spray it with a finish you can buy for a few dollars at a craft store.

I would put the paper in place and would work my way around the frame. If you want the frame to be symetrical you can always start in both corners to make it matching.

Tadah!!!!! And here it is!!! I lastly put a big 'P' in the corner which I made with vinyl with the cricut. I love the board. I taught our Sunday School lesson with it last week and it can hold picturs, crafts, organize things, etc.

BYU Food MADNESS

Umm, this was a gift at our bridal shower. Just to say, Sister Shirts and Sister Wright know me too well. It even came with BYU chips I guess you can get at Day's Market.

Cosmo is on it!!! I remember I registered for this at the Provo Bed Bath and Beyond and I wanted to register for the whole BYU section at the store.. they had long chairs, slippers, mugs, platters, sandals everything! But Chris told me one or two things which I'm glad he said because then we could register for other items.

So yummy with the chips and dip! Again these BYU chips are at Days Market and even though they are blue, no they don't taste any different. So yummy! We've used this at BYU get togethers

Back up to Christmas one last time

I found a ton of Christmasy pictures. I'll just highlight a few. Here is the gingerbread house that we made. I didn't put the one up from last year because it was not that good (I didn't do one with Chris that's why). I put it on our cake stand which made it look so good!

"People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel"
I felt touched as I saw this as someones facebook status. He was one of the byu sports players and definetly the kindest one I met over the years. Just as I remember his kindness in the few times I met him, I hope others remember for me for the best as well.
I believe as we act the way we want to be treated and are leaders as we live our lives, we can be those solid examples for ppl to look up to and feel inspired so they can live their lives that way as well. Habits can be formed as we set goals of how we want to improve ourselves.
Remember who you are and reflect how you want to be treated and how you want to be remembered.
