Down East Sale: $490 for $32

Last week was the Down East Outfitter Sale in Orem. It was great! I went to it last year (which was much better, you could fill a garbage bag filled for a certain amount) but this year you had to buy the items individually. I found some great deals and some really cute clothes. I thought they cost more but if I bought everything at its original price it would have come up to almost $500. I got everything (including a Lucky Brand shirt for Chris that I don't have on here) for about $32. What a deal!

Diesel jeans: Originally $200.00, bought for $4.90

Big Star white shorts: Originally $78.00, bought for $4.90

Cute roset clutch: Originally $25, bought for $7.00

Big Star pants: Originally $106, bought for $4.90

Down East dress: Originally $50.00, bought for $7.00

Chris' Lucky Brand shirt: Originally $32.00, bought for $3.00

Car Crunch

So, Tuesday I was drivining to Chris' apartment and I was thinking I should get gas on my way over so I won't have to stop on my way back. To make a long story short, I was pulling into the gas station and the Jeep in front of me decided to back up their car and, since there's is bigger than mine, it ended up going over my hood and crunching it. We were totally fine, my car looks awful though hahah.
It's also one of those situations you don't really think about till something happens, where you pull out the license, insurance etc. and you are so grateful everything is there and up to date. Being prepared is so important especially when 'life happens'. So many thing can happen to us, but we have learned from the scriptures not to fear. We can only do what is in our hands.
With the Lord's will we can be faithful and prepared for those trials that might fall upon us. There are going to be many times that we will be tried and tested to see what we will do and handle the situations that confront us. We need to remember the Lord in our lives whether our trials are great or small (and especially when we feel that our trials are minimal) and He will bless us and be there.

Having fun Paintballing

We decided to be spontaneous and go paintballing up the canyon.

Chris' amazing gun that he loves :)

Not dressed for the occasion but hey it was so fun!

We found a place by the shooting range and shot some appliances that were already there. Don't worry

Us by the car after a fun day of paintballing

Going to Outback later. So much fun being with my boy

"The most important things in life are not things"

I loved this quote I saw at dinner group. I think that sometimes we get caught up in the 'stuff' and focus more on that then on the amazing things we have around us that will last. The 'stuff' we have around us will go after we die, but our families, our testimony, our friendships, our knowledge etc. are the things that we can take with us. These should be the most important things in our life especially with our Heavenly Father at the very top. Having him first in our lives always will give us the eternal happiness that we want and desire.

Australian Dream

Ever since I was young I loved the Rescuers Down Under which made me fall in love with Australia. I don't know if I'll ever go there, but I love:

1) The Outback: the red color of the earth and the beautiful range of landscape.

2) Sydney and the many great buildings they have, especially the Sydney Opera House

3)The Kangaroos! They are so cute I always have wanted to play with one, even though they can be vicious.

4) How big the country is and how there is so much to see!

5) Koala Bears this picture is so adorable

6) Sexy accents from sexy people

7) Sugar Gliders. They are so tiny and cute.

Green Magnetic Board

Supplies: Magnetic board with wooden frame (I got mine from Roberts), scissors, paper, Mod Podge, paint brush, vinyl lettering (opt).

I cut diagonal strips to put along the inner edge. I found 5 12x12 pieces of green pieces of paper to put into place. After cutting a strip out, I used Mod Podge to paste it down as flat as I could.

Here is the board with the paper completely on. I then painted Mod Podge all over the paper and right when it was dry, I placed the face of the board on a flat ground so it would dry flat

I used my Cricut to make a letter to place in the lower right hand corner.

Memorial Day Meaning

"Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday observed on the last Monday of May (May 31 in 2010). Formerly known as Decoration Day, it commemorates U.S. soldiers who died while in the military service.[1] First enacted to honor Union soldiers of the American Civil War (it is celebrated near the day of reunification after the Civil War), it was expanded after World War I to honor dead Americans from all wars." Wiki

Let's remember all who have died for us in war for the freedoms we have so we can live in this beautiful country.
